He tells me that Google has speech enabled searching.
It does??
Yep, sure enough, if you go to Google and look in the search area, there is a little microphone icon.
Of course we had to say all kinds of random stuff to see what Google would recognize and what it wouldn't. We started with our names. It wasn't even close. Then places around us and my friends' job titles. Again, a no go. Finally I asked, "Google, why can't you spell correctly?" That came up perfectly, triggering laughter from everyone.
Another fun thing to do on the internet? Cleverbot. It's really not that clever, but my kids get a kick out of it, its clean fun, and I enjoy watching them giggle.
My personal favorite nonsensical thing to do on the internet? Mr. Doob.
